He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kopf and Bernice Kopf (McLaren); his grandparents, John, Emma McLaren, William and Anna Kopf; and his aunts and uncles, John (Arlene McLaren), Edna (Edgar Snyder), Agnes (Floyd Klien), Mayme (Ed Cechura), Alice (William Barker), Anna Mae (Junior Binley), Ruth Kopf, Helen (Clarence Binz), Blanche Parvin, Irene (Dale Bahr), Walter (Betty Kopf) and Fred (Emma Puegner).

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Kopf of Independence, IA; his children, Tasha Kapp (James) of Sibley, IA, Preston Kopf (Ry Johnson) of Reinbeck, IA, Nathan Kopf (Kelsey) and Prairie; his grandchildren, Keaton, Kesleigh, Rayna and Amelia; and his siblings, John Kopf (JoAnn) of Center Point, IA and Joan Wiese of Waterloo, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
