He is survived by: his children, Mike Short (Linda) of Marion, IA, David Short (Melissa), Jason (Jody Bearbower) and Amanda Decker (Mike McNamee); his grandchildren, Cory Short (Stephanie), Brittany Hoffman (Ryan), Jacob, Kolby, Trevor Short, Michael Decker and Hyatt Hocken; his brother Mike Short (Kris) of Bettendorf, IA; and his sister-in-law Peggy Short of Independence, IA. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
