She was predeceased by: her parents, John Janssen and Edith Janssen (Cross); her husband William Shafer; her children, Jennifer Sue Shafer and Bill Shafer; her sister Jean Janssen; and her son-in-law Charles Green.
She is survived by: her pet Ace; her children, Deborah Beeghly (Larry) of Conrad, Marilyn Crow (Bill) of Winthrop and John Shafer (Terri) of Vinton; her daughter-in-law DeAnn Shafer of Winthrop; and her cousins, Marlyn Cross (Chris) of Iowa Falls, Marlys Miller of Independence and Don Shafer of Independence. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
