He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Frank and Adry Maree Hare (Jestes); his son Larry Hare; his great grandchild Emilie Yarbrough; and his siblings, Raymond Hare, Carl Hare, Lewis Hare, Everett Hare, Jim Hare, Ed Hare, Clara Stock and Viola Caldwell.

He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Conrad (Bud) of Independence; his daughter-in-law Pat Hare of Cortez, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Dana Yarbrough (Aron) of Amarillo, Kevin Hare (Krystal) of Amarillo, Gretchen Bonnette (Jason) of Amarillo, Jeff Behan (Jodie) of Bettendorf, Susan Behan of Independence and Cynthia Nodland (Mark) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by seven step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
