He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Schumann and Ruth Schumann (Heddinghaus); his daughter Kristina Schumann; his siblings, Edward (Karyl), Everett, Elmer, Fern Kadlec, Fay Crimarco (Fred) and Frieda; and his in-laws, Norma Pins, John Eisele, Carl Tucker, Fred Juhl and Dale Talley.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Werner of Paul's Catholic Church; his children, Karen Gravel (Tim) of Earlville, Michael Schumann of Brandon, Mark Schumann of Independence and Eric (Julie) of Hillsdale, Illinois; his grandchildren, Daniell Gravel, Mitchel Gravel, Nathanal Gravel, Jacob Gravel, Emmett Schumann and Eva Schumann; his siblings, Francine Tucker, Florance Juhl, Flavia Talley and Elias Schumann (Roxann); and his in-laws, Darlene Schumann, Julie Schumann, Fred Pins, Charlie Werner, Tom Werner (Linda), Herman Kadlec and Madonna Eisele.
