He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Fredrick "Mike" Hemsath and Pearl Leona Hemsath (Myers); his wife Carol Ann Gosse; and his siblings, Claude Hemsath, Darlene Rigdon, Dorothy Cook, Betty Knox, Katy Marks and Lois Ann Rookaird.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Hemsath (Deb) of Rowley, IA, Scott Hemsath (Kathy) of Rowley, IA and Pam O'Loughlin (Vince) of Independence, IA.; and his sister Evelyn Winder of Cedar Falls, IA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the church and the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center in Don's name.
