Sperfslage of Independence, Iowa, born in Manchester, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 13, 2024 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard William and Ethel Bertha Sperfslage (Greiner); his son Nicholas Francis; and his brother Rodney. He is survived by: his children, Jeremiah Sperfslage (Carrie) of Harrisburg, NE, Joleen Sperfslage-Sawicki of Cedar Rapids, IA and Dawn Kress (Ryan) of Winthrop, IA; his grandchildren, Kylie Ansley (Zach), Jacob, Alaina Sperfslage, Preston, Felix, Eli, Marissa Sawicki, Kading, Reagan and Gracyn Kress; his great grandchild Tate Ansley; and his siblings, David (Colleen) of Winthrop, Daniel (Diane) of Aurora, Roger (Shelley) of Winthrop, Donald (Verna) of Winthrop, Richard (Wendy) of Winthrop, Dean (Dana) of Edgewood, Ruth Mangold (James) of Coggon, Rita Knutson (Robert) of Rowley, Rose Schmock (Steve) of Manchester, Diane Stone (Dean) of Mineola, TX and Darleen Espe (Richard) of Oelwein.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Monti Community Hall. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (555 1st St S, Winthrop, IA 50682).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to: East Buchanan FFA Alumni and Supporters or Care Initiatives Hospice.
