She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Strong and May Agnes Strong (Forch); her husband Arthur T. Jacobsen, Jr.; and her siblings, Sandy Clark, Ginger Strong, Doyce Strong and Jerry "Butch" Strong.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Jacobsen of Independence and Lori Smith (Jeff Gibson) of Independence; and her sisters, Roxie Jacobsen of Oelwein and Fran Newsom (Darrell) of Waterloo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
