He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert N. Kayser and Leona M. Kayser (Welter); and his brothers, Richard, Eugene, Paul and Dale Kayser.

He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Kayser of Independence, IA; his children, Rebecca Bauer-Fisher (Vince) of Waverly, IA and Timothy Kayser (Jennifer); his siblings, Ronald Kayser (Jayne) of Louisville, KY, Steven Kayser (Gloria) and Mary Thornton (Patrick) of Fort Mill, SC; and his sisters-in-law, Ann, Mary Kay and Judy Kayser. He is also survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
