It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Cannon (Independence, Iowa), born in Troy Mills, Iowa, who passed away on January 12, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew P. Johnston and Ruth I. Johnston (Peyton); her husband John Cannon; and her brother George Johnston. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Cannon (Jenny) of Marion, IA and Craig Cannon (Fayla); her grandchildren, Jason Cannon, Katie Ihle (Bryan), Brittany Miller (Shawn) and Max Miller; and her sisters, Yvonna Gericke of Quasqueton, IA and Janet Franck.
