He is survived by: his former wife Mary "Darlene" Ossman; his children, Debra Majors of Dysart, IA, Diane Williams (Mike) of Independence, IA, Alice Peyton (Mike), Ann Saucedo (David) of El Paso, TX, Alison Michels (Adam) of Independence, IA, Albert Althaus II (Julie) of Winthrop, IA and Donna Derr (Brian) of Independence, IA; his stepsons, Michael Van Pelt of Winchester, ID, Mark Van Pelt of Winchester, ID, Marvin Van Pelt of Oak Harbor, WA, Matthew Van Pelt (Debbie) of Oak Harbor, WA and Martin Van Pelt of Dike, IA; and his siblings, Marguerite Reeves of Independence, IA, Rose McElroy of Henry, SD and Fred Leonards of Hamilton, MO. He is also survived by thirty-four grandchildren, sixty-three great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren.
