He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Maher and Dorothy Maher (Howard); and his half-sister Geraldine Viner. He is survived by: his wife Mary Maher of Imogene, IA; his children, Tim Maher of Council Bluffs, IA and Ashley Maher (Bradd Westemeyer) of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Davin, Sophia, Ben and Agnes; his children, Annie Ip of Hong Kong and Paolo Erba of Switzerland; and his sister Genene Fienup of Shenandoah, IA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relative and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (1147 390th Street, Imogene, IA 51645). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at the St. Patrick Cemetery.
