With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harlan J. Fries of Ida Grove, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fries and Lucile Fries (Paulsen); his siblings, Stanley Fries (Martha) and Beverly Winquist (Dwight); and his in-laws, Burdette and Myrtle Collin.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Fries of Ida Grove, IA; his daughters, Kari Rohrbaugh (Dan) of Guy, AR, Kelli Boyle (Dick) of Holstein, IA, Kay Tscheyka (Allen) of Alpine, TX and Kathy Peterson (Andy) of Fall Creek, WI; his grandchildren, Sara Hart (Olen), Katelyn Turner (Patrick), Danielle Rasmussen (Darin), Jayde Ockenfels (Matt), Peyton Boyle, Lauren Green (Joe) and Ali Solem (Jeremie); and his brothers-in-law, Hardy Johnson of Oklahoma and Everett Collin (Nancy) of South Carolina. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
