He is survived by: his wife Myra Rath of Ida Grove, IA; his children, Gene Wessel, Jr. of Ida Grove, IA and Stacy Svendsen of Sioux City, IA; his grandchildren, Mallery Baker (Taylor), Brett Svendsen and Brandon Svendsen; his brothers, Gailen Wessel (Pam) of Ida Grove, IA and Wayne Wessel (Barb) of Ida Grove, IA; and his brother-in-law Marelle Knudsen of Ida Grove, IA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
