He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Hanson and Verna Hanson; and his sisters, Deanna Hedlund (Keith) of Slater, Sally Griffin (Gerald) of Seneca and Patty Kerns (Phil) of Ankeny.
He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn; his daughters, Tracie Shaffer (Wayne) of Ames and Rhona Krumm (Tom) of Boone; his grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Jimmie, Jennifer, Scott and JamiLynn; and his great grandchildren, Chloie, Parker, Emily, Gina, LilyAnn, William and Connor.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Huxley First Responders.
