She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Erickson and Olga Erickson; her husband Elman Sheldahl; her siblings, Don Erickson and Madeliene Mullica; her son-in-law Lowell Elliott; and her granddaughter Heather Thompson.

She is survived by: her sister Lucy Hoffman of Ames, IA; her children, Denise Elliott of Huxley, IA and Elman Sheldahl II of Ames, IA; and her grandchildren, Tim Elliott (Nicole) of Huxley, Chad Elliott (Lisa) of Stanhope, Kristen Kane (Jeffrey) of Maxwell, Carla Kirkpatrick (Joseph) of Ankeny, Michael, Nathan Sheldahl of Ames, Hannah, Rylie, Peyton, Ciara, Stetson, Aleena, Adalie, Sophia, Ayden and Lulamae.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future charitable designation.
