He is survived by: his children, Dennis Hokel (JoEllyn) of Huxley, Mark Hokel (Patty) of Slater, Dave Hokel (Brenda) of Polk City and Deanne Hutton (Mike) of Tulsa, OK.; his grandchildren, Danalee Abrams (Nick) of Tempe, AZ and Megan Greenwood (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Anna, Kurt of Sheldahl, Chris Hokel (Kayla) and Ethan Hokel (Ashley); his sisters, Betty Snider of Ames and Marilyn Thomas of Boone; and also, Zebediah, Zoey, Ezekiel, Abram of Slater, Lincoln, Kemper of Huxley, Katie Martin (Harley), Bo of Polo, MO, Casey Hutton (Monika Kimball), Payton, Baylor of Tulsa, OK, Hannah Hutton (Adrien Anderson), Amaya of Tulsa, OK, Ben Hokel of Boone and Grace Hutton of Tulsa, OK..
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church (209 N 2nd Ave, Huxley, IA 50124). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Fjeldberg Church building fund, Israel Family Hospice House or the Slater Area Historical Association.
