It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bonny L. Erickson (Huxley, Iowa), born in Ames, Iowa, who passed away on July 7, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Erickson and Wilma Erickson (Moore); her husband Floyd "Fritz" Erickson; her daughter Lisa Kling; her son-in-law Roger Kling; and her brother Tommy Erickson.

She is survived by: her sons, Tim (Sue) of Slater, Mark (Sharyn) of Huxley and Mike of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren, Miranda, Nathan, Kelsey, Ashley, Jesse, Elyse and Lynnea; and her siblings, Larry Erickson (Mary) of Mitchellville, IA and Mary Hennick (Earl) of Ankeny. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fjeldberg Lutheran Church.

“In loving memory of Bonny L. Erickson, With deepest sympathies. Bonnie and Fritz were those very special people that I had the good fortune of growing up around. I was blessed to work at the Fjord for them and know they lost money by allowing me to eat for free when I worked. The example of being good to everyone they came in contact with, helped me to try to emulate their actions-which I continue to this day. My kids have heard me talk many times of my great working experiences at the Fjord.”
