It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann Ellen Kalsem of Huxley, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on December 28, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Thompson and Gertrude Thompson (Bowers); and her brother William "Bill" Thompson. She is survived by: her caregiver Ann; her children, Oren Jeffrey, John Clinton and Ann; her husband Owen John; her children, Jeff Kalsem of Huxley, Sharon Guilinger (Joe) of Thomson, IL, Karen Davis (Scott) of Stuart, IA and Clint Kalsem of Huxley; and her grandchildren, Nicole Van Houten (Nick), Hayley Guilinger, Hannah Guilinger and Trevor Kalsem. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
