It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Henry Paxton of Humeston, Iowa, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Clayton Paxton and Holly Paxton (McCreery); his wife Evalene Koons; his son Allen Paxton; and his siblings, Dean Paxton and Frances Nichols.
He is survived by: his sons, James David (April) of Des Moines and Donald Dean (Denise) of Carlisle; his grandchildren, Kenny Paxton (Lexi), Tony Paxton, Morgan Paxton (Grace), Kasey Paxton-Hayes and Shae Lynch (Colby); and his sister Arloene Shy of Mount Pleasant. He is also survived by great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
