He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Verbrugge and Mae Verbrugge (Storms); and his brothers, Gene, Durand, Bernard and Adrian.

He is survived by: his brother Robert Verbrugge (Marcia) of Chippewa Falls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
