It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernice Hoops-Wagner of Humboldt, Iowa, who passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ford and Agnes Ford (Moore); her husbands, L. K. "Bill" Hoops and Lloyd Wagner; her children, Billy, Bobby Hoops and Dianne; her son-in-law Denny Andersen; her stepson Dale Wagner; her stepgrandsons, Cory Wagner and Kevin Wagner; her stepchildren-in-law, Delores Wagner and Kenny Bennett; and her siblings, Helen Ford, Catherine Garey, Ruth Bessel and James Ford.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Deb Place (Dave), Darcy Hickethier (Craig) and David Andersen (Sheri); her stepchildren, Judy Miller, Denny Wagner and Barb Bennett; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Petersen (Hoops) and Richard Hoops. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
