Opal G. Stanford Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Opal G. Stanford (Humboldt, Iowa), who passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Opal departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Opal. Though Opal may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard S. McCoy and Sylvie G. Hickman McCoy; her husband Malcolm Stanford (Mike); and her siblings, Bonnie and Howard (Shirley).
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Stanford of Humboldt and Terry Stanford (Erin) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.; her grandsons, Michael Stanford of Waterloo, Alex Stanford (Madeleine) of Krum and Andrew Stanford of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.; and her brother-in-law Duane Stanford (Sharon) of Mt. Dora, Florida.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
