As Mary departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Renquist and Anne Renquist (Malkmus); and her brother Dennis Renquist. She is survived by: her husband Alan of Humboldt; her children, Shane Tofteberg and Sarah Chambers (Trent); her grandchildren, Jackson and Carson; her sister Jane McBurney (Bob) of Humboldt; and her sister-in-law Rochelle McKay of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service (612 2nd Ave S, Humboldt, IA 50548). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church (604 Humboldt Ave, Bode, IA 50519).
