He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan George and Cleora George (Wells); his daughter Joan Renken; and his siblings, Junior George, Dorothy Phillips and Darice Gates.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Simpson; his children, Michael George (Rhonda) of Humboldt, Michelle Nielsen (Bob) of Humboldt and Marla Koch (Steven) of Ankeny; his son-in-law Dan Renken of Humboldt; and his grandchildren, Matthew George (Katie), Ashley Westre (Curt), Nathan George (Sarah), Nicole Watnem (Ryan), Mindy Johannsen (Jeff), Jason Nielsen (Holly), Sara Koch, Tyler Koch (Alicia) and Wendy Wimmer (Thomas). He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
