He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Nelson and Florence Nelson (Swanson); and his siblings, Cliff, Frank, Virgil Nelson, Dorothy Nelson, Selma Ehrhardt and Phyllis Vik.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Tull of Britt; his stepchildren, Victoria Fowler (Jerry) of Arizona, Michael Tull (Faye) of Algona, Gary Tull (Eilene) of South Carolina, Sue Abbott (Dennis) of Clear Lake and Roger Tull (Julie) of Phoenix; and his sister-in-law Barb Nelson of Waverly. He is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (1212 Sumner Ave SW, Humboldt, IA 50548). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
