He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrel Hodges and Gladys Hodges (Barnum); his wife Ramona Davis; and his siblings, Dennis, Leland, Duane, Beverly and Norma.

He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Hodges (Donna) of Evansville, IN and Terry (Carmen Black) of Dallas Center; his grandchildren, Scott, Lisa, Katie and Todd; and his siblings, Leslie, Othal, Bonnie, Jerry and Janet.
