He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Boland; his daughters, Julie Howell of Manson and Ann Haack (John) of St. Louis; his grandsons, Joshua Howell (Kristine) of Moorland, Jordan Howell Cedar (Ellie), Thomas, Daniel and William Haack of St. Louis; and his great grandchild Hayes Howell.
