With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Rice Erickson of Humboldt, Iowa, born in Plover, Iowa, who passed away on August 1, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Sroufe and Edna Sroufe (Martin); her son Terry; her granddaughter Janelle; and her brother Dean Allen.
She is survived by: her former spouse Gail Rice; her husband Edwin "Ted" Erickson; her children, Jackie Fevold of Humboldt and Larry Rice of Maquoketa; her stepdaughters, Kathy Zoch of Fort Dodge, Sherri Johnson (Kent) of Pocahontas and Becky Vit (Bill) of Fort Dodge; her grandchildren, Jared, Jennifer, Justin, Heather, Tara, Trevor, Cody, Derek, Nicholas, Kayla and Nathan; and her sisters, Ilene Becke of Lake City, Lois Boughey of Humboldt and Kathleen Ellsworth of Humboldt. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
