He is survived by: his children, Kristi and Kurtis; his wife Phyllis Hewitt; his children, Kris Christensen (Craig) of Humboldt, Kurt Ferguson (Zoe) of Godfrey and Karol Schoenfeld (Terry) of Winterset; his grandchildren, Nate Schoenfeld (Jen) of Omaha, Zac Christensen (Carrie) of Waukon, Timothy Schoenfeld (Sarah) of Winterset, Garrett Christensen (Andrea) of Ames, Anna Cook (Jamie) of Winterset, Kenzie Flot (Joe) of Cedar Falls, Ali Berns (Andrew) of Valparaiso and April Collins (John) of Brighton; and his great grandchildren, Hayley, Cayl, Elle Christensen, Caitlyn, Aubrey, Caleb Christensen, Calvin, Campbell Flot, Mackenzie, Connor Berns, Ada Schoenfeld, Isaac, Sophia, Macy Schoenfeld, Lydia, Corah and Caroline Cook.
