He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Mintun and Florence Mintun (Mattis); his daughter Cathy Page; his siblings, Phyllis Zaluga and Bert; his sister-in-law Betty Neumann; his niece Diane Frieze; his nephew Darin Neumann; his parents-in-law, Louis and Grace Cupp; and his sister-in-law Shirley Holtan.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Cupp (Ginny); his children, Chrissy Mathews of Humboldt, Stevie Gould (Jay) of Badger and Mark Mintun (Brenda) of Perry; his siblings, Jim Mintun (Marilyn) of Burlington and Jackie Triplett of Council Bluffs; his grandchildren, Travis Gould (Tanya) of Johnston, Trevor Gould (Paloma) of Ames, Courtney Guidry of Humboldt, Tannor Gould (Jessica) of Fort Dodge, James Gould, Justin Gould of Humboldt, Tristan, Alana and Quentin Mintun of Perry; his grandparents, Chase Schoon (Samantha) and Morgan Schoon; and also Megan Lucky (Matt). He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
