He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Berkhimer and Roberta Blanche Berkhimer (Erickson); his wife Dolores Gearhart; and his nephew Mike Berkhimer (Betty Hood). He is survived by: his daughters, Sondra Sterling of Warrenton and Erica Muhler (Jan) of Grass Valley; his grandchildren, Jamie Kern (Jerad), Jackie Bonstell (Chad) and Robert Sterling (Rachel); his brother John Berkhimer of Humboldt; his stepdaughters, Elaine Hood and Linda Mixdorf; his stepgranddaughter Katie Hood; and his niece Beth Berkhimer Sullivan. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
