He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bill Oostra of Winneconne, WI, Wilmina "Tootie" Oostra of Rock Valley, IA and Teresa Oostra of Rock Valley, IA; his wife Muriel Oostra; his grandsons, Brandon Allen Oostra and James Lee Oostra; his siblings, Andrew Oostra, Rich Oostra (Geraldine), Ralph, John Oostra (Liz), Gerald Oostra (Gert), Marinus Oostra (Alice), Berdina Van Maanen (Gerrit), Mary Grooters (Ray) and Ruth Van Engen (Gerrit); and his sister-in-law Lois Oostra.
He is survived by: his children, Nelson (Wanda Oostra), Orlin (Kristi Oostra), LaBeth (Mark Hoekstra), Ryan Oostra of Boyden, IA and John (Shantel Oostra); his parents-in-law, Johanna, Rev. Arnold Punt of Sioux Center, IA, Lois Van Maanen of Rock Valley, IA, Norma, John Boogerd of Hull, IA, Retta Van Kley of Rock Valley, IA and Carol Van Voorst of Hull, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Leona Sandbulte of Luverne, MN, Florence Sandbulte of Rock Valley, IA and Betty Sandbulte of Sioux Center, IA.
