Peter E. Soodsma Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter E. Soodsma of Hull, Iowa, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Peter E. Soodsma to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Soodsma and Anna Soodsma (Klein); and his grandson Jacob Soodsma. He is survived by: his wife Helen Heynen of Hull; his children, Mark (Sherri Soodsma) of Custer, Brenda (Kevin Gunderson) of Sioux Falls and Dan (Jennifer Soodsma) of Rock Valley; his grandchildren, Trisha (Joel Huyser), Travis Soodsma (Adrienne), Tanya Soodsma, Ashley (Aaron Hoefert), Andrew Gunderson, Jordan Soodsma, Joshua Soodsma, Josalyn Soodsma, Jonah Soodsma, Lucas Soodsma (C. J.), Ashayla Soodsma, Rashaylee Soodsma and Shanelle Soodsma; his brother-in-law George (Nancy Heynen) of Hull; his grandchild Lane Bonnema of Sioux Falls; and also Edie. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church - Hull (1121 5th St, Hull, IA 51239). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials will be given to Hull Christian School, Western Christian High School in Hull, and the Alpha Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
