She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hoogendoorn and Sadie Hoogendoorn (Van Abbema); her husbands, Arthur Van Veldhuizen and Marvin Vanden Toorn of Grand Rapids, MI; her grandson Russell Post; her great grandchild Isaac Chase; her parents-in-law, Aart and Cornelia Van Veldhuizen; her siblings, Gilbert, Alvin, John, Ted Hoogendoorn, Henrietta Davelaar, Joan Van Veldhuizen, Nellie Burnette and Mary Ann Maassen-Wynia; and her stepgrandson Michael Maartense.
She is survived by: her children, Sally Post (Arlin) of Doon, IA, Carolyn Bleeker (Karlin) of Sioux Center, IA and Larry Van Veldhuizen (Pam) of Sioux Center, IA; her stepchildren, Howard Vanden Toorn (Karen) of Michigan, Sue Lubbers (George) of Michigan and Russ Vanden Toorn (Carol) of Michigan; her sister Sadie Schelling (Albert) of Orange City, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Hermina Van Veldhuizen of Rock Valley, IA, Bernice Van Veldhuizen of Rock Valley, IA, Cornelia Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, IA, Arlene Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, IA, Peggy Hoogendoorn of Rock Valley, IA, Barb Hoogendoorn of Rock Rapids, IA and Frank Wynia of Rock Rapids, IA.. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, along with 2 great, great grandchildren.
