It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorita Van Muyden of Hull, Iowa, born in Sibley, Iowa, who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Molendorp and Elsie Molendorp (Palenske). She is survived by: her former husband Howard Rachuy; her daughter Lisa (Joe Shediak) of Omaha, Nebraska; her husband Lester Van Muyden; her children, Rhonda Rachuy of Madison, Wisconsin and Terry Rachuy (Arlene) of Richmond, Virginia; her stepdaughter Jacquelyn (Roger Westra) of Henderson, Nevada; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Rachuy of Little Rock, Jennifer (Zach Walker) of Dallas, Texas, Rachel (Billy Henninger) of Omaha, Joseph Shediak of Omaha, Joelle Shediak of Omaha and Jon Moran of Le Mars; her stepgrandchildren, Eric Westra (Anne) of Henderson, Justin Westra (Michelle) of Los Angeles, California and Jamie Oliver of Los Angeles, California; and her great grandchild William Henninger. She is also survived by three step-great-grandchildren.
She also made many afghans to raise funds for the church's annual charity auctions.
