He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto B. Bouma and Harriet Marie Bouma (Koele); his sister Marla Bouma; and also, Gerrit and Katherine Visser.
He is survived by: his spouse Gaylene Ruth Visser; his children, Lynnae Bouma of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Stephanie (Sean Baccam) of Hull, Lisa (Todd Visser) of Rock Valley, Kara (Andrew Feikema) of Minnetonka and Brian Bouma (Shannon) of Mayer, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Christopher, Logan, Braden Baccam, Madison, Teagen, Cambrie, Owen Visser, Matthias, Wilhelmina, Margaret Feikema, Jacob, Autumn, Leighton and Hudson Bouma; and his brothers, Dennis (Karen Visser), Doug (Bernita Vander Schaaf) and Bob (Phylis Blankespoor). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
