It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean A. De Jong of Hull, Iowa, born in Orange City, Iowa, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerrit Scholten and Minnie Scholten (Voogd); her husband Fred De Jong; her daughter Marcia De Jong; and her brother John Scholten.
She is survived by: her children, Gary (Lou De Jong) of Primghar, Larry (Martha De Jong) of Hull, Charlotte (Leon Rens) of Hull, Darrel (Wandy De Jong) of Sheldon and Loren (Patt De Jong) of Orange City; her granddaughter Leah De Jong; her brothers, Elmer (Evelyn Scholten) and Gary (Charlene Scholten); and her sister-in-law Agnes Scholten of Hull. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; a sister.
Memorials will be given to Hope Haven in Rock Valley.
