He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Punt; his former wife Loretta Punt; his mother Arlene Bidwell (Punt); his stepfather Forrest Bidwell; and his nephew Jason Gernandt.
He is survived by: his former wife Loretta "Lori" Van Der Wilt; his granddaughters, Everley and Kinsley; his wife LaRae Punt (Sweeney); his children, Heidi Oolman (Dan), Nathan Punt (Kristi), Brian Rand, Jordan Rand, James Burkman (Anna) and Jeremiah Burkman; his grandchildren, Haylee, Paul, Jocelynn, Audrey, Claire, Isaac and Timothy; and his siblings, Roger Punt (Nancy), Wanda Peat (Alex), Bernard "Bernie" Punt (Pamela), Ed Punt (Cheryl), Jane Case, Mary Morfitt (Don) and Carol Yusten (Vince). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
