She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Heidsma and Lena Heidsma (Van Ginkel); and her brothers, Hilbert and Dick Heidsma. She is survived by: her former husband Jack Van Leeuwen; her husband Ted of Sioux Center; her daughters, Leanne (James Bonnecroy), Michelle (George Rispens), Jacqueline (Henry Van Maanen) and Julie (Hans Wilting); her grandchild T. J. Rispens (Laura); and also, Marilyn of Hull, Loran Te Grotenhuis of Hull, Phyllis of Hull and Ike Uittenbogaard of Hull. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and seven step-children.

Memorials may be given to the Sioux Center Home Health and Hospice.
