He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Koele and Alice Koele (Bos); his brother Edwin Koele; his father-in-law Clayton Vis; and his brother-in-law Marv Vis.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Vis of Hull; his sons, Gregg Koele of Stuart and Garry Koele (Amanda) of Hull; his grandchildren, Conner, Cooper, Piper, Garen and Annika; his brothers, Richard Koele of Sioux City and Warren Koele (Mary) of Hull; his sister-in-law Linda "Lynn" Koele of Hull; his daughter-in-law Amanda Koele of Dexter; and also, Mae Vis of Sioux Center, Carla Koster of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Donna (Gary Van Hout) of Big Stone, Minnesota, Paul Vis (Lora) of Hull and Carla Vis of Hull.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Reformed Church.
Memorials will be given to the Sioux City Gospel Mission.
