It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude J. Te Slaa of Hull, Iowa, who passed away on September 11, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Kuipers and Matilda Kuipers (Vander Vliet); her husband Howard James Te Slaa; her children, Ronald, Rhonda and Rachel; her sister Hermina (Vernon Hamann); and her brother-in-law Richard Dykstra.
She is survived by: her children, Renita (Dan Kahlstorf), Glenda (Kent Meyn), Harwin (Diane Te Slaa), Beth (Darrell Schmith), Darwin (Lisa Te Slaa) and Lisa (Mike De Boer); her grandchildren, Danielle (Michael Stensrud), Austin (Katelynn Meyn), Tyler (Jade Kahlstorf), Alyssa (Mitch Chitwood), Joshua (Christi Meyn), Sheila (Jamisen Nielsen), Zachary (Sarah Schmith), Terissa (David Leinart), Ashley (Andy Smith), MaKenzie (Trey Bosecker), Allison (Chris Sietstra), Micah De Boer, Jamison Te Slaa, Kali De Boer, Megan Meyn, Spencer Te Slaa, Jonathan Te Slaa and Tanner Te Slaa; her grandchildren-in-law, Gradus, Caroline Kuipers, Gerrit and Carol Kuipers; her sister Karen Dykstra; and her siblings-in-law, Cleo, Joyce Te Slaa, Dee, Claus Gorter, Norm, Cathy Te Slaa, Arlen, Carol Te Slaa, Sharon and Marv Winkel.
