With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Galen D. De Jong of Hull, Iowa, who passed away on January 1, 2023 at the age of 71. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Galen D. De Jong to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Art; his grandson Trey Michael Rohde; his brothers, Larry De Jong and Brian De Jong; and also, Raymond and Suzanne Novak.

He is survived by: his children, Vander Schaaf (De Jong Hardware) and Marty (Jeremy Millikan); his wife Nancy Susan Novak of Hull; his son Keith (Bridget Kurtt De Jong); his grandson Alec Rohde; and his siblings-in-law, Marliss De Jong of Pittsburg, Missouri, Jan Novak (Laurel Jimenez) of Seminole, Florida and Bill (Georgia Novak) of Hayward, Wisconsin.. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Memorials will be directed to the Hull Fire Department.
