She was predeceased by: her parents, Chris Andersen and Jenny Andersen (Larsen); her husband Donald Brandhorst; her son David Brandhorst; her brother Elmer Andersen; and her granddaughter Christine Blaine.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Brandhorst of Hudson and Connie Wasendorf of Orlando, Florida; her grandchildren, Jennifer Brandhorst of Cedar Rapids, Luke Brandhorst (Christina) of Adel, Russ Wasendorf, Jr. (Amber) of Orlando and Chad Brandhorst (Janell) of Ankeny, Iowa; and her sister Helen Pipho (Merle) of Tempe, Arizona.. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Covenant Cancer Center and to Zion Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
