It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Ellis (Hudson, Iowa), born in Deer, Arkansas, who passed away on March 21, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Ellis and Etta Ellis (Norton); his wife Bev; his son Steven; and his brother Jerry.
He is survived by: his former spouse Beverly Ann Wichert; his wife Alice Elizabeth Walther of Hudson; his children, David Ellis (Laura) of Bellefontaine, Ohio and Sue Smith (Mark) of Nora Springs; his stepchildren, Dean Walther of Readlyn and Diane Walther of Cedar Falls; his sister Patricia "Pat" Sylvester of Kingman, Arizona; his grandsons, Jonathan Ellis (Yiyi) of Reynoldsburg, Daniel Ellis (Valerie) of Spotsylvania, Kyle Smith of Nora Springs, Corey Smith (Nicole) of Sheffield and Cody Smith of Fairborn, Ohio; his stepgrandchildren, Christopher Wersinger of Marshalltown and Jacqui Weaver of Cedar Falls; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Ellis, Arianna Ellis, Nathan Ellis, Emma Ellis and Ireland Smith; and his stepgreat-grandson Jerry Weaver.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Faith Baptist Church in Hudson and Cedar Valley Hospice.
