He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Carolan and Agnes Carolan (Knox); his brother Vincent Carolan; his siblings-in-law, Bob Wagner (Joyce), Virgil Mundt, Hank Selden, Joyce Wendling and Julie Mundt; his niece Chris Carolan Kemna; and his nephew Greg Wagner.
He is survived by: his wife Rose A. Wendling; his children, Michele Bienfang (Victor), Jeanette Geisler (Mike) and Aaron Carolan (Jolene) of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Connor (Emily), Erika Bienfang, Bryce (Maddie), Maria, Wes, Jake Geisler, Kayla, Travis, Jessica and Blake Carolan; his great grandchild Briar Rose Bienfang; his siblings, Greg Carolan (Rosie) and Rita Selden; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Wagner and Mort Wendling (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
