He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou; his brother Craig; his parents-in-law, Edward and Adeline Weig; and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Weig, Jake Shattuck, Cherryl Weig and Lola Weig.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Larson (Kim) of Hubbard and Marty Scovill (Teri) of Marshalltown; his grandchildren, Stephanie Brecht (Philip) of Cedar Rapids, Jeremy Barkema of Hubbard, Cody Scovill of Monroe and Cami Scovill (Adam Vajgrt) of Marshalltown; his stepgranddaughters, Kendra Elliott (Seth) of Bondurant and Kami Covarrubias (Eddie) of Des Moines; his great grandchildren, Maverick and Hendrix Brecht; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Myah and Mason Elliott; his brother Clint Scovill (Joan) of Cumming, GA; and his pets, Carlee, Callie and Duke.
