Howard Alvern Linn Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Alvern Linn (Hubbard, Iowa), born in Garretson, South Dakota, who passed away on July 31, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Linn and Amy Linn (Amundson); and his siblings, Donald, Myron, Kernie Fletcher, Lois Vickre and Phyllis Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice "Betty" Doering; his children, Linda Swenson (Glen Heitritter) of Omaha, NE, Roger Linn (Lois) of Westworth Village, TX, Kathy Stockard (Alan) of Lakeside, TX and Barbara Vinchattle of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Casket Bearers, Sara Brazelton, Jennifer Barefoot, Dr. Amy Turner, Collin Vinchattle and Brittany Bozung; and his sister Mavis Leerberg of Hubbard. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Legion Post #317 Building Fund, Radcliffe, IA or to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hubbard, IA.
