He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Solsma and Agnes Solsma (Roorda); his wife Judith Ellen Kramer; his siblings, Margene, Betty Jean and Richard (Gertrude Solsma); his brother-in-law Fred (Bonnie Kramer); his nephew Donny Solsma; and also, Jacob and Arlene Kramer.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Solsma (Kelli) of Rogers, Arkansas, Julie (Barry Van Iperen) of Lake Park, Jared Solsma of Alton and Jantina Carney of Spirit Lake; his grandchildren, Alex Solsma, Jaden (Nilang Patel), Trenton Solsma (Jennifer), Jenna (Josh Snyder), Brady Van Iperen, Carter Solsma, Austin Solsma, Kate Solsma, Tyler Solsma (Cali), Max Carney and Elli Carney; his great grandchildren, Stella, Holland Patel, Evelyn, Weston Solsma, Graham, Avery Snyder and Harper Solsma; his siblings, Virgil (Pam Solsma) and Joyce (Warren "Bud" Mouw); and also, Dale Kramer (Vicki) and Luann Kramer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials will be given to the family to start a scholarship for a student attending the Heavy Equipment Operation and Maintenance program at Northwest Iowa Community College.
