He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac "Ike" and Willemina Woudstra (Reinsma); his siblings, Lloyd Woudstra and Gwen (Bernie Bousema); his siblings-in-law, Francis Jacobsen, Janice (Jim Van Engen) and Pierson Elgersma; and also, Jake and Nellie Elgersma.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Elgersma; his children, Cindy (Gene Vander Griend), Kris (Kevin Kooistra) and Jay (Dawn Woudstra); his grandchildren, Brent Vander Griend (Tracy), Nathan Vander Griend (Erin), Kelly Kooistra (Liz), Keith Kooistra (Brittney), Jordyn Woudstra and Joel Woudstra (Katie); and his siblings-in-law, Trudy Woudstra, Betty Elgersma and Jack (Carol Elgersma). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
